Becca Harris, a devoted social worker, worries she’s failing the suffering children placed in her care. There’s never enough time in a day. Her apartment, car, and shoulder bag are a mess, as is her where-fore-art-thou love life. The youth pastor at her dad’s church seems to be a perfect match. But there is Nicolas Browning, a friend of a friend, quoter of poetry, fighter of good causes. Since that one Thanksgiving, he is forever popping uninvited into her life. He’s an unbeliever and she’s determined not to fall for him despite his natural way with kids and the fact that he cooks. When a teacher suspects one of her students is being physically abused and asks Becca to investigate, one crisis leads to another, rules are bent, lives are threatened. People aren’t always who they appear to be.

Fighting For Love Tender Heart Book 2 edition by Teresa Lynn Religion Spirituality eBooks

I did not like her first book in this series but I love this book. I couldn't put it down. While I am not a reader of Christian fiction, I read Teresa's books because I had been in a writer's group with her years ago, I wanted to see how the books she had shared finally ended up. I wish I hadn't waited so long to read them.

Teresa's writing style is beautiful and lyrical, with vivid descriptions. Her words dance on the pages. She does an amazing job of conveying emotions--the intense pain of abuse and the great joy of love. Her two main characters, Becca and Nick have depth and are more interesting and complex than Annie and Conner from her first book. I enjoyed the secondary characters as well and the way she weaves relationships. The characters of Jaicy and Henry are very memorable. The themes and messages within the book are uplifting: she explores hope, redemption, the importance of family and generosity of spirit.

Years ago I vaguely remember reading part of a third book in this series that may have involved Jaicy and AJ from this book. I am disappointed that Teresa didn't publish it as well.

Teresa has a lot of talent and I hope she continues to write, even if it's just for the enjoyment of it. I'd love to read another book about Becca and Nick or Jaicy and AJ.

Fighting For Love Tender Heart Book 2 edition by Teresa Lynn Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

The first book was great, and it's hard to believe that a writer can top what Teresa Lynn wrote for "Letting Love In," but she did with "Fighting For Love." Becca is my favorite character, she has so much depth and life to her, and the romance between her and Nick is what every woman longs for. Teresa Lynn really knows how to write a great, dramatic story and weave the romance in without overdoing it. The best thing about her books is how every one of her characters is so well developed they become like old friends throughout the book. I can't wait to read what she writes next.
This is a must book to read for anyone at any age, it gives you joy and self confidence. If anyone knows of a man that is like Nick, please let me know, and wouldn't leave out Connor from the first book either. Great writing and I'm a sci fi horror reader and it was hard to put down, and I didn't want it to come to an end.
Teresa Lynn pulled my heartstrings all through the book; her writing style is a page turner, filled with the full spectrum of emotions. "Fighting for Love" is an inspirational and heartwarming story of people finding each other and themselves. It is a testament to what can be done when we care enough to make a difference.
Teresa you've done it again!! I loved the first book but the second one blew me away. I just loved this one. You have left this one open to continue the story. Don't leave me hanging for too long. I want to go to Becca's wedding and I want to see the children she has taken in flourish. Hurry up and get the 3rd book done I can't wait!!! Your the best new author who is going to hit it BIG TIME.
Teresa's first literary piece, Letting Love In, is a great book. If you haven't already downloaded it please check it out. But the second in the series, Fighting For Love, is wonderful! Each book she writes just gets better and better. I can't wait to read more from her. Will Jaicey and A.J. be next? What other ideas are swimming around in that brilliant creative mind of yours Teresa? Please release them to the world so we can enjoy them too!

Fighting For Love is intense, funny, wholesomely sensual and full of love. Becca is a delightfully flawed young Christian woman (not a cardboard goody-two-shoes preacher's daughter) who has her own worries and struggles, while Nick is a great guy, but irritating (at least to Becca) and a non-believer. Put the two together and they light up the pages. The word play between Nick and Becca is captivating and watching Becca fall in love with Nick, against her own will, is a pleasure to experience. The other characters we meet along the way, Becca and Nick's families, the damaged children she encounters through her job, and the elderly Henry, are also a delight to meet. I know I'm gushing here but I LOVE THIS BOOK!

While each book in The Tenderheart Series is undoubtedly Christian based, at no time does the author hit you over the head with her Bible. Her message is always given with the lightest touch. There is no Bible thumping in these pages. Her stories give a message of redemption, strong and enduring, and deliver life lessons that apply to us all, believers and non-believers. In fact, her books address intense and painful subject matter delicately, while at the same time Teresa reminds us all that really horrible things can happen to good people (even people who have great religious faith) and there always is hope.

Teresa's writing is beautiful, clean and unencumbered with flowery prose. It's hardcover quality publishing material. You won't be disappointed. Pick up the book through e-publishing now, before it gets out of the 'clouds' and lands into the more costly brick and mortar storefronts.

These books are quite readable in all genres of Women's Fiction, if you are looking for a funny, delightful, and well written read, download a sample and give this book a try.
